The magnetic field in milligauss units is computed by first adding 0.5 to the digitized value and then multiplying by the appropriate scaling factor (see the magnetic field scale attribute).**DOMAIN**- The magnetic field is a positive floating point number.
Using the scaling factors provided, the units of measure are
milligauss. The minimum field recordable by the EMDEX along
a single axis is 0.05 milligauss. The maximum field is
25,550 milligauss.
